Delayed but not Denied

Greetings all! I am so excited to inform you of my new blog that will be posted every Monday.  God has given me so much and I am ecstatic to have this opportunity to pass it on to the masses.  I simply hope to encourage somebody, give hope to somebody, maybe make somebody laugh.  I will also be sharing what God is doing in ministry with my church and with myself.  I would like to take a minute and say that God's timing is the perfect timing!  I really thought by now I would have some incredible well established ministry with a church running in the thousands!  My early Christian walk was one of extreme blessings in just about every aspect.  The most apt description would be that I had the"Midas Golden Touch" of spirituality. The way God used me for his glory was truly amazing and a tremendous blessing.  I received countless prophetic words letting me know about the tremendous works that I would do for God.  These words were from individuals that I had no previous contact with as well as those with which I was familiar.  The problem was that my character was not on the same level as my gifting.  And the one thing that I can tell you is that your gifting and talent may get you there, but it is your character that will keep you there!  Well fast forward quite a few years and finally God has determined that my character can handle the gifting.  So now I am so ready to embrace the totality of what God has for me and those associated with me.  I am in a local church ministry that is growing and being formed every day by the hand of God.  I am authoring a book titled "Let's Kiss and Stop Passing Spit" that I am so excited about.  It is a message that God gave to me some time ago and now he has said it is time.  I said all of that to say; "Do not be discouraged" if you are not where you thought you would be at this point in your life.  God knows what is best for us and any delay in us achieving our divine destiny is just that: a delay and not a cancellation!  Our actions can put a delay but the plans of God will prevail if we submit to him completely.  So stop resisting. stop being unsure and in doubt and say "God, here I am"!  Use me exactly as you purposed when you created me.  Nothing more, nothing less, just your good and perfect will be done in my life beginning right now!

To make you laugh...I was bringing my 4 year old grandson home from visiting a friend the other day and I was talking to him about what his mom had given him to eat earlier in the day.  He is a little fellow and so as a former nutritionist I often inquire about his food consumption.  So I am asking him what he had for lunch and he says to me as only a 4 year old can; Grandpa; I don't want to talk about food right now...I want to talk about dinosaurs!  He then continued on with his dialogue on what a T-Rex eats just as matter of fact as he could.  I am convinced that grandchildren are God's way of letting us experience pure joy on a regular basis!!

Blessings,
